The Hialeah Park Race Track is a historic site in Hialeah. Its site covers 40 square blocks of central-east side Hialeah. Since Hialeah’s Famous Flamingos introduction to Hialeah Park in 1933, these exotic, colorful birds have become a widely recognized trademark of Hialeah Park and South Florida. The infield area of the racetrack was deemed a National Audubon Sanctuary due to its success in breeding the birds.
